Huhu Studios is looking for a talented Pipeline TD.
The Pipline TD will use their technical knowledge to develop the Huhu Studio’s animation pipeline while assisting the CG Supervisor and other Pipeline team across the studio. The primary responsibility of the Pipeline Technical Director is assisting in the designing, developing and maintaining of the core pipeline and related applications to ensure the reliable operation of our computer network, servers, render farm and backup systems.
Modeler – Huhu Studios New Zealand
Huhu Studios is a leading film and television animation studio based in the beautiful Rodney district north of Auckland.
We are looking for a Modeler who can model props including foliage and has a speed tree experience.
Please note this is a contract position.
Generalist TDs Freelance - Blackbird (Sydney)
Blackbird is a collaborative team of visual effects artists focused on providing creatively driven responses to every brief, every time. We are an artist owned company with a commitment to producing the highest standard of creative work for every client.
We are currently looking for a Generalist TD who has a proven ability to provide technical and artistic leadership within our established CG team. You should be passionate about creating spectacular and convincing special effects with a general understanding of all facets of 3D. You love problem solving and coming up with solutions that will likely require creating simple tools in Python for the team.
You should have a reel that clearly demonstrates your capability with previous work for commercials and/or feature work. This is not a junior position, mid-seniors should apply.
Immediate start through to Mid March 2017.
Overview of responsibilities
Participate in development, testing and R&D required for various 3D elements
Prep and assemble shots using supplied assets.
Work in partnership with CG Supervisor & Compositors to ensure that the VFX elements for shots are delivered on time and to the very highest standard.
Assist with tool development and provide support and documentation for tools created
Take a leadership role in problem solving issues related to the pipeline
Clearly communicate with production any delays or obstacles that may impact delivery.
Respond to internal & client feedback
Required Skills and Experience
Must be very familiar using Maya
Our pipeline also includes Golaem / Yeti / VRay so experience in any of these would be a strong advantage
A high level of experience using Houdini would also be considered favourably
Experience scripting in Python.
Artistic and real-world understanding of dynamics, proportion, depth, scale, and physical space and advantage.
Excellent autonomy and organisational skills.
Maintain a positive and professional manner in a deadline focused work environment.
Technical and creative problem solving with a service oriented mindset.
We are currently looking for mid level After Effects artist. The project involves working with high res stills and also some footage and combining and blending with a digital interference/glitch type effect. AE artist required to help develop the final look and comp.
Dingo Media are currently looking to take on 1 - 2 more Flame compositors with solid experience in comping 3D virtual sets with green screen talent. TVC and / or Broadcast experience necessary.
Looking for Unity Developers to work on a VR Experience for an upcoming franchise sequel in Sydney, Australia for a well know I.P.
All assets have been 3D scanned from production during filming, with motion capture and sound still to be done along with scene creation.
We are after
- VR devs and level designers (you will have access to sets that have been scanned) with great knowledge in how to get the most out of Unity.
