Vipe is a cloud-native, software solution that simplifies and speeds up the deployment of fully automated linear playout, OTT streaming and VOD playout. The latest release introduces Vipe RT, a dedicated, real-time playout engine that supports the most complex live event and sports requirements.
Vipe features
• Containerized microservices and 3rd party outbound services are carefully managed through a centralized orchestration layer. This levels the workload, minimizes resources, and uses lower processing power creating huge efficiencies and therefore cost savings.
• Multichannel error indicators enable a monitor-by-exception workflow so issues can be fixed as they arise, before delivery time.This to the 99.9999% uptime seen by Vipe’s users.
• All deliverables go through an automated quality control process to check for availability, compatibility, timing and corruption. An embedded player enables manual checking, including audio and subtitles.
• Vipe’s cloud-based services can be accessed from any web browser, with easy to use and logical interfaces.
• Live feeds are decoded; DVE, graphics, subtitles, watermarking and any audio manipulation are applied and then re-encoded to be spliced into the transport stream playout process.
• Switching between multiple live events and pre-rendered clips is seamless and resources are only deployed as required by the complexity of the content.
• Vipe can manage extremely complex graphics and offers a native Adobe After Effects plugin, providing creative freedom for designers.

Vipe reduces resources and therefore costs by up to 8x, whilst maintaining better than hardware-based reliability of up to 99.9999% as measured by users.
