MediorNet HorizoN is part of the MediorNet family of video networking and processing devices. The innovative hybrid processing platform blurs the boundary between SDI and IP infrastructures with a dense array of UHD gateways, while also providing extensive and powerful video processing capabilities such as UHD up/down/cross conversion, SDR-HDR conversion, and color correction. With its software-based app concept, HorizoN brings flexibility and simplicity to video ecosystems in the broadcast, entertainment, sports, corporate, and government sectors.
The highly dense gateway and processing solution not only combines the simplicity of SDI with the interoperability of ST 2110, but also provides all the key processing functionalities modern broadcast workflows require. With up to 16 processing engines in just one rack unit, MediorNet HorizoN offers an incredible amount of video processing capabilities such as up/down/cross, SDR-HDR conversion and color correction. What’s more, the unit easily connects traditional SDI-based and ST 2110 infrastructures with its 128 SDI ST 2110 gateways. IP signals and their control are seamlessly embedded into the distributed system and SFP-based baseband video I/O completes the system.
As customers look towards UHD resolution and HDR content more and more, HorizoN enables our customers to add high density video processing to their MediorNet system providing flexibly and on demand functionality. With MediorNet HorizoN, multiviewing, up/down/cross conversion, HDR conversion & color correction capabilities can be easily distributed across the entire decentralized MediorNet network, reducing the need for external processing devices as well as deployment complexity and costs.
In addition, as IP technology becomes more prevalent, HorizoN enables customers not only to interface with ST 2110 signals infrastructures in a plug and play manner, but it is also an elegant solution to transform traditional baseband SDI installations to IP-native systems. Rather than ripping up the whole system at once, the unique HorizoN approach enables the customer to accomplish this at their own speed and within their budget constraints without sacrificing operational experience.
