MSI will soon release three new series of high-performance laptops designed for business and enterprise applications. They are among the first laptop computers to be powered by the recent 11th Gen Intel processor, making users more autonomous and supporting the trend of remote working resulting from COVID-19.
MSI’s new laptops, which they call their Business and Productivity series, comprises three separate lines – Summit, Prestige and Modern – all of which use the new Intel processors and the iRIS Xe integrated Intel graphics to optimise processing and deliver performance and efficiency for business and other professional types of users. The iRIS Xe graphics platform’s performance according to Intel is twice as fast as the 10th-Gen integrated graphics.

Other priorities for business users are long battery life, a touch panel to improve the UX, and a high quality camera for conferences. TPM 2.0 supplies enterprise-grade security. The TPM (Trusted Platform Modules) chip is a secure crypto-processor that helps generate, store and limit the use of cryptographic keys.
The Summit series comes in two models. The Summit B models have an especially long battery life of over 10 hours. The Summit E line-up is available with a wide range of different graphics options, and includes an infrared camera that supports Windows Hello facial recognition. An upcoming model in this series is the MSI Summit E13 Flip. Its display flips 360 degrees so that it can be used as a laptop or tablet.
The Summit series also has a touchscreen supporting multi-touch, and AI noise cancellation that can be used to eliminate background noise to help remove distractions from video conference meetings.
The existing Prestige and Modern series laptops, designed for everyday business use, have been updated with new colours. The Prestige 14 Evo is one of the first laptops to be certified on the Intel Evo platform, engineered for users’ mobile experience including instant wake and long battery life on designs with full-HD displays.
MSI’s Business and Productivity laptops are expected to be available starting in October 2020 online and from resellers. au.msi.com
