In her new role, Robin will work to secure projects for all current and future locations of FuseFX and its affiliates around the world. "Robin brings deep industry experience to the table, and can build on existing relationships, as well as establish new studio connections to help the organisation secure the most exciting projects in production. Robin brings more than 20 years of entertainment experience acquired while leading new business initiatives at major studios. Robin was instrumental in raising the profile for Peter Jackson's Weta Digital in New Zealand as visual effects executive and head of new business. Among the many projects she helped bring in were Avatar, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and two films with Steven Spielberg, The Adventures of Tintin and The BFG.
Robin also served as visual effects executive on films including X-Men: First Class, The Avengers, Prometheus, Man of Steel, The Jungle Book, Pete's Dragon and The Hobbit trilogy.
"I was immediately drawn in by FuseFX's team-oriented atmosphere,” Robin said. “Each person's contribution, whether it be large or small, onscreen or off, is appreciated and rewarded. While I have always admired FuseFX's excellent work, reputation for timeliness and innovation in the field, it is this facet of the company's culture that I find most appealing, and is often the key to long-lasting success.
