ARRI’s ARTEMIS 2 Live stabilizer is compact, modular and upgradeable, allowing various types of professional users to adapt their rig to changing sports and event production demands.

The ARRI ARTEMIS 2 Live camera stabilizer is compact, lightweight and optimised for live productions such as sports and event broadcasts. Intended to serve as an entry-point into ARRI's Camera Stabilizer Systems (CSS) line, ARTEMIS 2 Live is also modular and upgradeable, allowing various types of professional users to adapt their rig to different production demands, while retaining the characteristics associated with ARRI engineering.

ARRI has spent some years refining the ARTEMIS system. ARTEMIS 2 Live combines operational flexibility with a straightforward, ergonomic design. It has a very short post that gives users more legroom and greater freedom to follow the fast, unpredictable action of live productions, even in tight spaces. The stabilizer’s new lightweight monitor brackets have also been designed for live applications, and its base mount and monitor jockeys can accommodate 7in monitors from brands including TRANSVIDEO, Smart Systems and SmallHD. A second bracket is added to support the 5in 'on air' monitors often used on live production rigs.

ARRI is making the ARTEMIS 2 Live available in a number of Ready to Shoot Sets, which supply everything needed to integrate the stabilizer into live production environments. One of these, for example, combines ARTEMIS 2 Live effectively with a Tiffen Volt gimbal. With its modular system structure, ARTEMIS 2 Live adapts to different power sources so that users can match whatever batteries are available at the shoot location and whatever camera is to be used on the rig.

ARTEMIS 2 Live components are interchangeable with those of ARRI's cine-style stabilizers and are built on the same quality standards. It meets the needs of EFP (electronic field production) workflows with features such as TALLY and LBUS, allowing hybrid lens control of both ENG and cine zoom lenses.

Over time, users can upgrade their ARTEMIS 2 Live with all of the features in the ARTEMIS 2 for film and drama productions, or up to the TRINITY 2, incorporating electronic stabilization for demanding applications involving more complex camera moves. Conversely, because the brackets and accessories are compatible across the entire CSS product range, ARTEMIS 2 and TRINITY 2 owners can shrink-fit their rig to a live configuration using an ARTEMIS 2 Live Conversion Kit.
