New adapters allow high channel density when connecting to analogue installed AV gear, reducing the total number needed to convert multiple channels to Dante at a single endpoint.
Audinate’s Dante AVIO is about connecting analogue, digital and USB gear to Dante networks. Compact and affordable, devices in the Dante AVIO Install adapter series serve in both permanent installations and live sound set-ups.
Three new devices in the series – Dante AVIO Install 4-Ch Analog Input, 4-Ch Analog Output and 2-Ch In/2-Ch Out Analog adapters – all feature dual switched Ethernet ports that allow up to four units to share a single network connection point via daisy chaining.
High Density Analogue-to-Dante
Designed for AV integration, Dante AVIO Install adapters are a practical way to convert analogue audio to Dante for new or existing installations. Euroblock terminals, which accept plugs with the fixed wiring already in place, support permanent installations, and for integrators who need the flexibility to mount adapters under shelves, on rack rails, secured to posts and so on, a bracket and Dante AVIO ClickGrid system are included.
The new models allow a higher channel density when connecting to amplifiers, line mixers, DSPs and other analogue installed AV equipment, reducing the number of adapters needed to convert multiple channels to Dante or handle bidirectional audio at a single endpoint. They suit applications ranging from single conference rooms and classrooms to audio distribution across buildings, campuses and zones with centralised device management.
By sharing a single network connection point across up to four adapters, the daisy chaining functionality significantly reduces the number of switch ports and cable runs required across an installation. This lowers overall network infrastructure costs and makes it easier and more cost-effective to deploy multiple adapters as systems grow.
Familiar Dante Tools
As part of the Dante platform, all Dante AVIO Install adapters work with familiar Dante tools. Audio routing and configuration are handled in Dante Controller, which routes AV signals between the Dante-enabled audio and video devices on a network. Because configurations are saved directly to the devices themselves, the network remains more stable. Meanwhile Dante Director, a cloud-based SaaS for organising and managing devices remotely, and the Domain Manager hub for securing devices, managing users and running AV over routed Dante networks, add further capabilities such as remote monitoring, logging and alerts, and user access control.
