TAG’s and Harmonic’s new strategic partnership gives broadcasters and content creators detailed, real-time visibility and control over video workflows, and helps save on cloud costs.

TAG harmonic VOS360 video

TAG Video Systems and Harmonic have formed a strategic partnership that gives broadcasters and content creators real-time visibility and control over their video workflows and also helps save on cloud costs. This collaboration takes advantage of the interoperability of TAG's Realtime Media Platform with Harmonic's VOS 360 Media SaaS. The companies will show it in action at the 2025 NAB Show in Las Vegas.

Harmonic’s VOS360 Media SaaS is a cloud-native system used to create, manage and deliver broadcast and streaming channels for linear, live and on-demand content. By integrating TAG’s Realtime Media Platform, VOS360 Media users can visualise and monitor data relating to more than 500 parameters in real-time, and ensure the quality of their services.

Users can visualise data ranging from deep stream analysis from the media essence, through template matching and transport, SCTE 35/104 ad insertion verification, comprehensive multiviewing and precise latency measurement, all integrated directly into the VOS360 workflow.

NAB Demonstration

At NAB, the companies will use a complete end-to-end streaming workflow to demonstrate the system, starting with live stream ingest through playout, transcoding, packaging, origin, server-side ad insertion and CDN distribution. TAG will monitor and visualize the entire process in real-time, from source to CDN return feed, measuring, analysing and displaying video and latency at each stage.

In particular, this demonstration will show SCTE-35 marker validation, real-time video visualization and comprehensive latency reporting, all using TAG’s unified platform. The specific workflow demonstrated will feature SRT cloud uplink and MPEG-DASH/HLS distribution. The cloud-agnostic nature of both TAG and Harmonic’s tools means users have options to adopt the software on any cloud or hybrid infrastructure.

“This partnership serves as a complete quality assurance set-up for today’s complex streaming environments,” said Golan Simani, Director of Cloud and Tech Operations at TAG. “Users integrating our real-time monitoring and multiviewing platform with Harmonic’s VOS360 Media SaaS will gain the deep visibility and control needed to deliver high quality services.”

“Partnering with TAG is an opportunity to further enhance VOS360 Media SaaS with real-time multiviewer capability,” said Gil Rudge, senior vice president, products and Americas sales, video business at Harmonic. “Through this collaboration, our customers have a toolset for real-time stream analysis, visualization and latency monitoring, and the means to cost effectively deliver competitive streaming experiences with confidence.”

Both TAG and Harmonic will be demonstrating the system during the 2025 NAB Show in April. https://tagvs.com/
