The new Renderboxes Photon transportable workstation, built to withstand the demands of mobile operations without compromising performance, fits into a standard Pelican protective 1607 Peli Case. Designed to match the speed of Renderboxes’ larger desktop workstations, suitable for DIT applications, editing, colour grading and compositing, Photon also makes a capable 3D workstation and is entirely configurable.
Equipped as standard to support the upcoming NVIDIA RTX 5090 GPU and all current NVIDIA Ada-powered models, it can be specified with processing power up to the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16 Core CPU, up to 96GB fast DDR5 memory and dual NVMe Gen 5 storage. Photon can run at full power for days or even weeks.
Photon uses the same engineering as Renderboxes’ larger models, and is built from aircraft-grade materials and with ample power supplies and cooling. Overclocking to achieve speed is unnecessary, which means the critical components can be left to operate within their specified ranges, running cooler for longer. For freelancers and other mobile media professionals who need to work close to their computers, Photon is also designed for quiet operation with large-diameter fans that move air silently.

Photon is fully certified and tested for compatibility with iodyne Pro Data super fast Thunderbolt storage made for production applications. Pro Data is available with up to 48TB of NVMe storage and is protected by hardware RAID 6 and encryption.
