Bbright, French developer of media and broadcast systems, purchased the LV7600W rasterizer from Leaser Electronics of Europe to support its upcoming IP validation processes.
BBright has developed media processing and monitoring systems for the worldwide broadcast industry for more than ten years. Based in Rennes, France, and now part of Hexaglobe Group, BBright addresses the requirements of customers, including broadcasters and service providers, through its current range of solutions encompassing ingest and playout, monitoring, and transport over IP.
Conscious of the increasing importance of IP to global broadcasting and media delivery – which includes wide adoption of SMPTE ST 2110 and other standards – BBright recently extended its test and measurement inventory supporting product development with a rasterizer from Leader. Part of the ZEN-W Series, the LV7600W is a fully hybrid rasterizer compatible with 4K/HD/SD-SDI and UHDTV/HD/SD IP signals.
The rasterizer’s waveform, vector, picture, audio and eye pattern displays are designed for simple, comprehensive measurements and quality control of a wide range of video and audio formats. Its screen layout is entirely customizable.
Reliability, Innovation and Trust
Guillaume Arthuis, Founder and Managing Director of BBright, said that the company prioritizes three core values when choosing technology partners. “Reliability is critical our testing tools must be rock-solid and error-free, ensuring consistency at every step. Innovation is also essential. Owing to the rapid advancements of standards, our test equipment must always be prepared, adapting to the latest innovations.
“Trust is important as well. Success depends on complete confidence in our tools. Only with absolute trust in our equipment can we continue to push beyond what’s possible.”
ST 2110 IP Validation
As their chosen device, Guillaume’s team regards the Leader LV7600W as a piece of equipment that will meet all three of their priorities for this work. The new rasterizer will play a major role in BBright’s validation process for ST 2110 IP equipment, such as decoders and playout systems, and for Ultra HD HDR.
“Competition in the video analyzer market is intense, but the Leader product stands out, especially with its advanced alarm system and long-term analysis capabilities,” Guillaume said. “These features give us the means to deliver precise signal timing, ensuring that users receive a high level of accuracy and reliability.”
Martin Mulligan, COO of Leader Electronics of Europe, commented, “BBright has a track-record for remaining ahead of technological advancements in the dynamic broadcast environment, so it’s no surprise that ST 2110 and IP in general is increasingly integral to their work. With their new Leader rasterizer, BBright now has a comprehensive set of tools to validate ST 2110 across its product range.” leaderphabrix.com
