Based on Telestream’s PRISM monitors, Pulse is a flexible monitoring platform that simplifies ST 2110 operations, consolidates vendor tools and supports modern live production environments.

Telestream Pulse is a new software-defined test and measurement platform built to support modern IP-based broadcast and live production environments. Initially designed for ST 2110 workflows, Pulse serves as a flexible monitoring platform that gives engineering and production teams access to diagnostic and monitoring tools across distributed production environments.
As facilities scale their IP workflows, they require tools that extend beyond traditional infrastructure. Built on the foundation of Telestream PRISM, this software-defined platform brings critical monitoring and analysis capabilities together within a single user interface and is accessible from standard workstations, thin clients or laptops.
Telestream’s existing PRISM hybrid SDI and SMPTE ST 2110 Waveform Monitors handle SDI and IP signals up to 8K. They can be customised through software and are available in form factors to suit engineering, production and technical QC.
The new Pulse software allows teams working variously in these areas to access monitoring tools from shared infrastructure. This approach is intended to support more efficient facility design and means remote production teams can securely monitor signals while working outside the broadcast centre.

"Pulse delivers the monitoring and diagnostic tools engineering teams depend on in a flexible platform designed for modern IP infrastructures," said Matthew Driscoll, Vice President of Product Management at Telestream. "Working alongside PRISM for hybrid environments, Pulse expands Telestream's monitoring ecosystem by bringing effective waveform monitoring capabilities into a software-defined platform that enables teams to monitor signals from anywhere in the facility while maintaining the precision engineering tools their work depends on."
Pulse supports multi-user access to monitoring and signal analysis tools through customisable dashboards that allow teams to configure layouts based on their specific operational roles. Operators can combine waveform monitors, vectorscopes, audio meters, video monitoring windows and alarm logs into tailored workspaces that display immediate insight into signal health and performance.
The platform incorporates timing analysis capabilities required for ST 2110 production environments, including tools for analysing precision timing and monitoring redundant network paths such as ST 2022-7. These capabilities help engineering teams troubleshoot synchronisation issues and maintain signal integrity across complex IP infrastructures.
Pulse will be on display at NAB Show 2026, where Telestream will demonstrate the platform. www.telestream.com
